the Vision

Grace Bible Institute is a biblical training center committed to the training ministers of the gospel and all believers for the work of the ministry. GBI is a place of information, transformation and impartation. GBI has qualified and experienced lecturers who have vast experience in not just the Bible but also church ministry.

Grace Bible Institute was founded by Bishop Maurice J. Mwale, the Senior Pastor of Grace Covenant Church and Overseer of Grace Covenant Churches in Kenya. He is also the Director of Grace for Transformation, a Bible teaching ministry that conducts conferences across the country.

After conducting GFT conferences for over 15 years, he kept hearing the need to start a Bible school that would equip ministers of the gospel with teachings that are in line with the grace of God as revealed in scripture.

GBI has its main campus in Umoja, Nairobi and Rutooma, Mbarara district and Nyabwiche, Ibanda district in Uganda.

Plans are underway to start campuses in other towns around the country.

Diploma in Biblical Theology and Counseling Psychology

Diploma in Biblical Theology and Counseling Theology is a combined program designed to equip students with a solid understanding of the Bible and theological foundations, along with skills in Christian-based counseling. It integrates both the study of Scripture and pastoral care, preparing individuals to serve effectively in church, ministry, or community settings especially pastors.

This is an English only class with students possessing a Kenya Certificate in Secondary Education or its equivalent.

Certificate in Biblical Theology

Certificate in Biblical Theology is a focused academic or ministry program that provides foundational training in understanding the Bible through a theological lens. It’s often offered by seminaries, Bible colleges, and some online Christian education platforms.

This course targets pastors, leaders and believers who do not have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

This a bi-lingual class with English being the primary language translated to a another language depending in students preference

Certificate in Pastor's Wife Ministry

One of the most ignored minister in the church is the pastor's wife. Most often, they are through in a role they know nothing about, a role they many times never bargained for and a role in which a lot is expected.

The expectation is that since they are married to the pastors, somehow they anointing and knowledge in the pastors would magically be transferred to them. This has led to frustrations and heartaches. CBTI has tailormade a course that would equip the pastors wife.

Certificate in Worship and Music Ministry

This is a course for worship leaders and music ministers with the aim of equipping them to the ministry that God has given them which most often than not suffers for lack of training.
